On October 20th in Sukow, Germany, the “One World-One Idol” fan gathering took place. This is an annual gathering of all things Idol, organized by Uber-fan, Uwe Szillat, and this year included a performance by the acoustic tribute band, Storytellers, and special tee shirts inspired by artist Juha Rindell’s painting of Billy. The tees were made by original Bromley punk, Guy Jardine, who re-connected with both Idol and his Bromley counterpart in the band, rhythm guitarist Billy Morrison, during this summer’s Idol European tour. Billy Idol’s rhythm guitarist, Billy Morrison, has launched the “Triumph For Charity” campaign with two tee-shirt designs available exclusively at Triumph motorcycle dealerships and select Triumph motorcycle events. All proceeds from the sale of these shirts goes to MusiCares, who provide a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. MusiCares’ services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and focus the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community. As well as playing Seattle on October 26th, Billy Idol will also be playing a one-off show on October 28th at the Silva Concert Hall, Hult Center in Eugene, OR. Tickets for this show will go on sale on September 20th and will be available BY CLICKING HERE FOR THESHEDD.ORG.

After two years of the PlayMyBirthdayBillyIdol.com project, Billy Idol sent a video broadcast during Billy Idol Aid 4, announcing that he will take the stage at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo on October 26 for Michael Henrichsen’s 26th birthday party. As Idol exclaims in the video: “The people of the World have spoken! The dream will become a reality!” Tickets were snapped up in a matter of days, and the show is now completely sold out. Henrichsen’s actual birthday falls on October 22nd, but everyone involved agreed the weekend night of October 26th is most suitable for a legendary birthday party. “I’m completely in shock right now, this is like something out of a movie!” says Henrichsen. “It just goes to show with hard work and lot of support anything can be achieved in life!”.

Written by rhythm guitarist Billy Morrison, the tour diaries cover the whole process of a tour, from rehearsal to stage, and the archives contain a week by week look at life on the road with Billy Idol. The European Tour is coming to a close, with just two Portuguese shows left, and to celebrate a successful run, we have posted a new video blog up in the IdolTV section of this site. Big respect to our valiant crew, who fought the elements, language barriers and most probably each other to make each and every gig a huge success.
